Assuring the borough keeps the municipal tax rate as low as possible while maintaining quality services, and advocate that a large portion of the revenues projected from the Art Color development be used to reduce or stabilize taxes in the borough’s annual budget.
The Dunellen Borough Council approved Comcast's ordinance, potentially introducing it as the third broadband provider by 2026. This decision aims to spur competition, improve services, and lower rates for residents. Comcast's application now awaits final approval from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities before work can commence in Dunellen.
Dunellen is amending its redevelopment plan to allow craft breweries, distilleries, and wineries in downtown areas, aiming to attract new businesses. This move aligns with ongoing revitalization efforts and ties in with the development of the Dunellen Station community, including apartments and retail spaces, contributing to economic growth.
The Borough of Dunellen, led by Mayor Jason Cilento, has partnered with The Difference Card to optimize taxpayer savings on healthcare costs without compromising employee benefits. This strategic move is expected to save up to $131,020 in the first year and up to $784,119 over five years, showcasing Dunellen's proactive fiscal management approach.
